Just as good the second time around. I really appreciated the technical aspects of the film much more on this viewing. The way the camera moves helps to create this spellbinding atmosphere, which works well with the score. After listening to it countless times since it was officially released, I can definitely say that Jonny Greenwood's score is my favorite of 2017. I can definitely see him winning an Oscar for it, but knowing the academy they're going to play it safe and give it to Alexandre Desplat.
This is just such an elegantly crafted film. Paul Thomas Anderson really plays to his strengths here, crafting an off-kilter romance that will leave audiences satisfied. This is really a film best experienced in theaters, so I urge you to seek this one out.
