Mikey Brzezinski’s review published on Letterboxd:
I've made it a tradition to watch this film every year on my birthday. It's a way of still making it special for myself and up to this point it's been incredibly effective. I love everything about this film. Literally EVERYTHING.
With PTA recently saying he wishes he would have chilled out and made a shorter film here, it only brought to mind why I love this film so much. It feels like its made without clear forethought. It's built strictly in the heat of *many* moments which leads to an overwhelming amount of emotional sincerity. The pace is driven purely by an emotional intensity that underlies every action, every spoken word, and every glance. It's naturally powerful in ways that a lot films aren't. With sheer gravitas and righteousness.
You're not alone. None of us are.
