    Enemy at the Gates

was good at points, but a damn shame they shoe horn in a crap romance line. this film glosses over and skips most of the main conflict at Stalingrad.

    Yes, God, Yes

very watchable film, love Jonah Ryan (idk what the actor is acc called) in this

  • Falling Down

    Falling Down

honestly a gritty and deep dive into one man’s descent into madness. although his actions are vile and senseless, D-Fens in a way characterises the left behind of American society, dying through a Reaganomics induced poison on the country. in many ways his anger is wrongly directed but the constant feeling of decline plagues the characters he meets, even in passing, through this brutal film.

going past the point of return in this classic was thoroughly shocking and enjoyable in…

  • Gone Girl

    Gone Girl

  • Super Dark Times

  • L.A. Confidential

    L.A. Confidential

a lovely 50s stylised film, without the usual glossing over and glorification a number of similar films of the cop and 50s throwback genre rely on and advocate. action and gore are part and parcel of this genre however it’s grit is subdued with beautiful imagery, music and direction. the cast all provide sound performance as you would expect, with notable performances from Spacey, Pearce and Devito.
