It’s somehow better every time I rewatch it. A story thats so easy to relate to. Full of sadness, melancholy and nostalgia, but also a lot of funny situations. A beautiful childhood, and those last moments before people expect you to act mature. That one last adventure, and on that adventure, they discovered more about each other and themselves than they could have in a lifetime. All the actors are incredible especially River Phoenix 🤍 The ending always makes me cry, thinking about what happened to him.
“- Gordie: Do you think I'm weird?
- Chris: Definitely.
- Gordie: No man, seriously. Am I weird?
- Chris: Yeah, but so what? Everybody's weird.”
"I never had friends later on in life like the ones when I was twelve. Jesus, did anyone?"
“Although I hadn't seen him in more than ten years, I know I'll miss him forever.”
