La La Land 2016
What the fuck is this? I mean, I'm not a big guy on musicals but oh my god, what the fuck?? La La Land is a cinematic masterpiece triumph of joy! I mean it addresses something that I very well gravitate towards. It shows a perfect blend of futurism and nostalgia and even is self referential about it. It shows our passionate characters develope through funny and witty dialogue, beautiful music tunes, and gorgeous cinematography. My second A+ of the year!
