I, Tonya

I, Tonya ★★★★

I’m not gonna go in about do I think she knew something or not, was she completely innocent or not because those who know me know what I think already but it is okay to ask I just don’t want to write about it here on my review.

I loved the soundtrack. The performances were amazing. Margot Robbie probably is not gonna win the Oscar but this performance made a clear statement, she’s a force to be reckoned with. Allison Janney, wow. I can already see her with the award in her hands. Absolutely disgustingly good she was. This is not supposed to be shade but if Allison Janney is better at playing a abusive loathsome mother than Laurie Metcalf playing a nurturing mother than whoopee-fucking-doo.

However on Tonya Harding.
I imagine taking away her ice skating was the death sentence for her soul. All this before turning 25. I can’t imagine personally how it would feel not to be able to do what you love the most. However life has always its up and downs. I think she could have avoided much of it had she made better choices in life. The world is so cruel when you miss that motherly figure who is supposed to guide you through and help you. Obviously had she come from a loving environment this would most likely not been her reality.
Also I hate to say this but I can relate to Tonya Harding for number reasons.

PS: How is this a comedy? I cried more than I laughed and I probably laughed once during the whole shit. This was a shitfest of depressing.
