All of the Christmas related films I have watched this Christmas season in order of when I watched them. I personally am a “Christmas starts on November 1” kinda gal. This year I wanted to challenge myself to watch all of my favorites plus a bunch of films I have never seen before. There are a handful of films here that aren’t TECHNICALLY Christmas films but that remind me of Christmas or have a particularly Christmas-like quality to them. Chop chop, I got Christmas spirit!

Christmas with the Kranks 2004
6 November 2019: i almost died from second hand embarrassment watching parts of this! the tanning scene in particular! i had to pause this a hundred times! 8 November 2019: the characters in this MADE this and the christmas feeling was there!
-
Unaccompanied Minors 2006
10 November 2019: I only watched this once years ago and back then I know I really related to boyish, angry Donna who punched boys in the nuts for touching her but today I deeply relate to the drunk grandma whose house is way too decked out for Christmas. This is a really great little Christmas movie!
-
Donkey's Christmas Shrektacular 2010
10 November 2019: fleas navidad!!
-
Black Christmas 1974
11 November 2019: The scariest part was the amount of tinsel on that Christmas tree. I did not enjoy this. Half the time it didn’t even feel like a slasher, just a bad movie from the 70s. However, Merry Christmas!
-
The Polar Express 2004
11 November 2019: Tom Hanks said you better believe. I hated this movie as a kid but this time I really enjoyed it. I guess I wasn’t ready.
-
Let It Snow 2019
12 November 2019: last night was the first “snow storm” in my college town so this felt fitting (with my crackling wood wick candle lit in the background). i loved this so much! it was so sweet!
-
Noelle 2019
12 November 2019: I would first like to thank my mom for letting me make a profile on her Disney+ account. Second, I really loved this so much. This was very The Year Without A Santa Claus meets The Santa Clause (two of my all-time favorite Christmas movies). Christmas Spirit: 15/10. It was fun and jolly and cute. Plus, I would die for that baby reindeer.

The Santa Clause 1994
17 November 2019: I would like to thank this film franchise for making me spell Santa Claus wrong for the first 10 years of my life. Also, in these universes where Santa Claus exists but adults don’t believe in Santa Claus, where do they think the presents are coming from????

-
Just Friends 2005
23 November 2019: the best part of this is how realistically chris and mikey’s sibling relationship is portrayed! are those my brothers?!
-
To All the Boys I've Loved Before 2018
23 November 2019: This is Christmasy because I say it is. That whole ski trip - Christmas break part - New Years is my favorite part of the whole movie. Christmas is about love!
-
Home Alone 1990
25 November 2019: There are people in this world who don’t consider this a Christmas movie but they do consider Die Hard a Christmas movie and to them I say..... how dare you? I forgot how much heart this has underneath all the craziness and humor. As someone from a big family I really relate to the McCallisters.
-
Olaf's Frozen Adventure 2017
26 November 2019: I expected to hate this because I am not the biggest Frozen fan to begin with and usually these specials are like watered down versions of their mother films but this was so heartwarming and cheesy and I liked it.
-
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe 2005
26 November 2019: Santa Claus is in this and tells the Pevensies “Merry Christmas” so I’m saying it counts. The nostalgia! The magic!

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York 1992

7 December 2019: This was watched with friends and I have to say that added to the experience. It turns out I have never seen this version of the Grinch passed the young Grinch scenes but I have to say, the Grinch was absolutely right. This is not a kids movie, it is balls to the walls crazy.
-
Mickey's Christmas Carol 1983
7 December 2019: technically i watched this for the first time when i watched snowed in at the house of mouse but this is just such a cute version of a christmas carol <3

A Christmas Story 1983
13 December 2019: it was....soap....poisoning *wailing*
25 December 2019: always iconic -
A Christmas Story 2 2012
13 December 2019: you can’t catch lightning in a bottle twice. while the first is a timeless classic, this is just a sad, watered down, mean-spirited, hot mess trying to pass itself off as the original. it tries too hard to make call backs to the first Christmas Story.
-
-
