Jack Auger’s review published on Letterboxd:
I think this is easily one of the best horror films that I ever seen. While I have never read the book, Polanski’s adaptation is chilling. Every scene seemed to give me goosebumps and I was continuously filled with anxiety (in a good way). The cinematography was great and, of course, the performances were jaw dropping. Mia Farrow’s fear is so believable and it’s only heightened by the camera angles and drawn out shots. On top of that the music, and lack of music, was executed perfectly. Overall, this film struck every horror movie nerve I need: it was intense; it had a captivating story; and it had an immensely satisfying ending.
