Sundance 2022: #7
Feels like a movie written, directed, and even acted by folks who have never met a human being before. None of these people talk or behave like any actual person would, and it extends past irritating to simply being bizarre. The only interesting dynamic in the movie is essentially split up with the two characters spending their time with others for the entire duration, and when things finally get to a point where they might start to get interesting it just… ends? A truly bizarre cut to credits at a moment where I thought there was surely a good 30 minutes left in the film. Some interesting ideas but they’re woefully underdeveloped.
