WandaVision ★★★★

"What is grief if not love persevering?" - Vision

As this series came to close, I was left both satisfied yet still left wanting more and I don't mean that in a good way. I mean, that is partially my own fault as I gave into the discussions and theories. Other than that, it was a pretty great time.

The first three episodes were really interesting and finally breathed some fresh air into the MCU. It was slower and more focused on building its own world and the mystery. I was really intrigued and you could say, I was hooked. Eventually as the show went on, the mystery retained throughout and the hints toward Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) turning to the dark side were welcomed. It was funny and the emotional beats hit. I thought the VFX were impressive despite being on a tv show and I loved the costumes.

Kat Dennings (Darcy Lewis) was really funny, Teyonah Paris (Monica Rambeau) was really great and Randall Park (Jimmy Woo) just needs his own show. I love his character. Kathryn Hahn (Agatha Harkness) was easily one of the highlights in every episode and a great villain to add to the MCU's rogues gallery. Paul Bettany (Vision) was also incredible here. But Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda Maximoff) was absolutely outstanding here. This was her show and she gave it her all.

However, in Ep. 4 is where the show's intrigue kind of dipped out for me. The reveals are appreciated, I just wished they weren't all in one episode. I wish we were allowed to figure it out for ourselves rather than have it spoon-fed to us all. There weren't many risks taken in the end either and the last episode felt like the climax to every other Marvel movie.

I still really enjoyed it nonetheless and I'm excited for the next MCU thing!
