What a wacky beginning to the science fiction genre. It has a touch of the absurd in its conception, similar to many David Lynch films. Were those scientists, or wizards? or clowns? Without a doubt this is likely going to be my favorite of early films, its' cinematic genius for its time cannot be over-stated.
