Just a huge fucking mess. I have so many questions. Why are these people dating? Does Mackenzie Davis' character have a personality beyond "being an asshole"? Why include the weird nonsense about Kristen Stewart asking her dad for her hand in marriage (gross!) if it's not going to be relevant to the movie? Why in god's name does Kristen Stewart not end up with Aubrey Plaza, who at least gets to tell a few jokes and with whom she has some chemistry? Who is responsible for Mackenzie Davis' wig and why was that decision made? Why did Victor Garber invest all his savings in a mayoral campaign of a nameless Pennsylvania town and did his financial planner approve? What favors did Dan Levy have to pull to get the sister's book published in A YEAR?
Honestly this could have been a perfectly fun movie but this script was just! So! Bad! A first draft! Why are these things allowed to happen!!!
