“Weather is a mystery. The way the sky looks can move you so much.”
Felt structurally similar to Kimi no Nawa. I didn’t really buy with this one, there’s some kind of spark missing here. But I still enjoyed it for its insane visual appeal.
Weathering With You brings bigger message with its connection with nature. The entire theatre gasped at the Your Name cameos; Mitsuha and Taki made my heart ache.
As always the food scenes are the best.
Blank 13 is a feature debut of actor Takumi Saito, a film that transcends the Japanese family drama by fixing its inherent faults. Very entertaining film overall, with theme "dark dysfunctional-family drama"
The film is based on a true story, revolves around a family of four and unfolds it two different timelines, seeing how the intro credits appear during the middle of the movie. It shows the dichotomy between past and present.
Issei Takahashi, as Koji, can't forget neither the…
“The sun would set over the lighthouse making it look like a candle.”
I was hoping I would get to hear his explanation to what went down, but ya at least he is conscious now. The investigation takes up the majority of the film, leaves less time for the more interesting aspect of Yukari’s reaction to the discovery that he's not who he said he was. But overall it's a good film that could delved a little deeper into the motivations of the characters.
