  this tries so hard to have a commentary on class but its rather nonsensical and illogical storytelling causes it to slip beneath its feet. unfortunately unimpressed.

  thank god for this rewatch because I left loving it so much more than the first time around. the muted colors, the icy tension, the pregnant silences, the subtle creepiness… quite magnificent.
