The 1000th letterboxd entry.
Thought I would try something outside my comfort zone, being my first real introduction to body horror. While disgusting, the practical effects and acting in this is top notch. Really need to check out some more Cronenberg because this was absolutely brilliant

Captain Fantastic 2016
I have this inane ability to pick something that looks wholesome but ends up being really depressing and philosophical haha.
Such a strange and unique little film about censorship, capitalism, consumerism, materialism, grief, parenthood etc.
Mortensen once again reinforcing why he is one of my fave actors.

Naked Gun 33⅓: The Final Insult 1994
While not as good at the first one this one still holds up with Nielson still perfecting the witty one liners. The storyline is kinda flip flop but with a movie like this I dont really care tbh haha.

Nitram 2021
An incredibly harrowing look at the worst gun related crime incident that Australia has ever seen. So brilliantly brutal but delicate on the subject matter with all gun related violence implied. Caleb Landry Jones does a phenomenal performance along with Judy Davis and Anthony Lapaglia.
Brilliant film on a horrible incident.
