I grew up on this movie, and though I can see how imperfect it is it still charms me. There are conveniences to keep the plot going, but the relationship between Percy and Marguerite still pains and thrills me. It was fun to revisit it tonight.

What a charming and fascinating documentary. I'm still wrapping my head around it. As a simple document on the precise work of this model railroad team, it's great, but Gorin, as he brings up his mentor Manny Farber, is also investigating his own relationship to art and film.
