I grew up on this movie, and though I can see how imperfect it is it still charms me. There are conveniences to keep the plot going, but the relationship between Percy and Marguerite still pains and thrills me. It was fun to revisit it tonight.
Initially I gave this only 4 stars, but I'm still thinking about it and feel it must go up another half. It's that pose, perfectly captured.
