I’m only halfway through this right now but I’m gonna review it to kill a minute of this excruciating 2 hour runtime. This makes the original What Women Want look like a masterpiece and that movie blows. If it gets better I’ll edit this but I don’t see that happening.

The Love Witch 2016
This deserves a watch purely from a visual and design standpoint, but it should have been 30 minutes shorter and I could have even watched it on mute without my experience changing much. I think the plot was pretty weak and the more I read into the movie and director online, the more muddled intentions and meaning become to me, so I am just going to stop reading about it online and take it as a dumb comedy with nothing substantial to say and enjoy the aesthetic.

Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind 1984
I haven’t seen this in a few years now, but have considered it one of my favorite Miyazaki movies since and that hasn’t changed. Baller move for Miyazaki to adapt his own manga for this. Simply amazing world and character/creature designs. One of the more notable things this time was Joe Hisaishi’s incredible score. Can’t wait to hear the 70mm podcast discuss this this week!
