Josh Murray’s review published on Letterboxd:
While this may seem like it deserves every star rating at once, I’ll never stop advocating for it as actually good. While it might be a timeless action classic if half an hour shorter, this is in so many ways the big, smartly dumb blockbuster nobody else is making.
From the shitpile of Zack Snyder’s DC movies, James Wan took every opportunity to fight for calculated insertion of one weird background detail after another. The result is one of the most ceaselessly watchable dream drive-in movies there is. The silly stupidity of the jargon and lore only adds to the perfection.
