First of all,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE QUEEN OF ACTING, THE LEGENDARY NICOLE KIDMAN!!!
So.... wow. I knew some of what I was going into watching this for the first time (yes I know I'm very late) but Jesus Christ was it depressing.
I now understand why everyone loves this film so much. I appreciate it from an objective point of view because it's impecably made, but I'm too attached to Nicole for me to feasibly enjoy anything where her character dies. But what a spectacle! Corny and fantastic. Everything positive about this film I could say has already been said a thousand times. Loved the soundtrack, would've been perfect if she didn't die at the end!!!!! I went into it knowing Satine would die but that doesn't make it any easier to watch, damn. I'm feeling bittersweet! Also Nicole Kidman invented talent
