Scott Gentry’s review published on Letterboxd:
"I hate this song."
"I love it."
I simultaneously laughed, cried and chaotically scribbled a spate of notes throughout what is a particularly complicated chapter, in the life of an immensely complex young woman. "Lady Bird" might be a coming-of-age tale, yet it's the film's unflinchingly candid dialogue,
uncomfortable situations and committed performances which deliver such a profound cinematic experience. Whilst I am still processing each motif that Greta Gerwig has tackled, I most certainly share in the ardour expressed here on Letterboxd. Re-watching this will be a treat.
