imagine not loving a film this extravagantly beautiful and startlingly unique and calling it 'pretentious' or whatever. this kind of grandiose self-indulgence is what art exists for. jodorowsky's imagery is so expressive and densely symbolic. 5th viewing and still an all-time favourite.
