A bit slow at times, this doc never quite found its singular focus or central compelling character. That being said there was fabulous mariachi music and a lot of talented and sweet high schoolers playing their hearts out so enjoyment was had by all.

Onyx the Fortuitous and the Talisman of Souls 2023
I low key loved this throwback/tribute to my favorite kind of 80’s adventure fantasy movies!! The story of Onyx the Fortuitous an angsty satanist and his friends solving mysteries, decoding prophecies and finding hidden passages ways in a fabulous old mansion was just what I needed!! The amazing practical special fx made my heart sing 😍❤️😍
