“You win this round, lettuce.”

Such a strange combination of things going on here. On one note, such a strange sense of humor and use of language and overarching comedic performance that I really was not expecting here. On the other hand, the very basic storytelling fits right into the mold that I expected and I’m left feeling like a simple and fine film. I definitely figured this would ride that like between geared for children/aiming for that older audience and so with that solid mixture I definitely think this succeeded in that aspect. Dwayne Johnson & Kevin Hart are obviously very charismatic in their respective roles and genuinely love their banter. I don’t understand why it’s so hard to have vocal performance where the people actually like each other and it can come across like that. I mean these guys are best friends in real life so that really helps. The animation style is solid as well and overall; DC League of Super-Pets is a good enough film to warrant a watch and definitely had a few laughs which is all you can ask for.
