El Satario (1907) (AKA El Sartorio) - One of the earliest known Stag films, which were the earliest form of pornographic films.
Hiawatha (1909) - Possibly one of the earliest independent films.
The Sporting Mice (1909) - Possibly the earliest example of silhouette animation in film.
Bags of Gold (1915) - First film to be shown at what is possibly the earliest drive-in movie theater, the Theatre de Guadalupe. It was opened in 1915 & later renamed to De Lux Theater before closing in 1916.
Vice Versa (1916) - First film to depict a body swap.
Drakula (Дракула) (1920) - Earliest known adaptation of Dracula.
Eine Symphonie des Kampfwillens (A Symphony of the Will to Fight) (1927) - First Nazi propaganda film.
The Hawk (1931) - First feature film shot entirely in the Multicolor process.
Sairandhri (1933) - First Indian colour film. The prints were processed and printed in Germany, which means that Kisan Kanya (1937) is the first Indian colour film made in India.
Sweden, Land of the Vikings (1934) - First feature film shot in the Cinecolor process.
The Carnival of Colours (1935) - AKA Karnaval Cvetov, it is the first Russian film shot in colour.
The Nightingale (1936) - First Russian narrative feature film in colour.
Bajo el sol de Loret (1936) - First Peruvian film in colour.
Concert Magic (1948) - Earliest known concert film.
The Apteryx and the Easter Bunny (1970) - First 2D animated film made using a computer.
The Young Teacher (1972) - First film to be released commercially on VHS (In 1976).
Garden Isle (1973) - First film shot in OMNIMAX (An IMAX format).
The Sensorium (1984) - First 4D film.
The Chorus (2013) - First film shot in 8K resolution.
