Reid Hardison’s review published on Letterboxd:
Carol is an elegant, and graceful portrait of love, and other relationships. It is a masterfully crafted, and marvelously acted film. Rooney Mara continues to grow as an actress, and Cate Blanchett may be the best actress currently working. The musical score by Carter Burwell is gorgeous, and the same can be said for Edward Lachman's cinematography. It is subtle, and it is slow, but it is undeniably worthwhile, and then some.
