Andrew Payne’s review published on Letterboxd:
I’m always on the lookout for animated films that I haven’t seen. I didn’t know what to expect going in besides the poster and IMDb description. I was pleasantly surprised!
The animation style is very good! It’s in the vein of Disney and Dreamworks, though maybe not quite as sharp in detail. But it was still far better than any other 3D projects that come out from smaller studios.
I think the area that I felt was slightly lacking was the story. It had some dark themes to it (which I thought were great to throw into an animated film) but I felt like there could have been more depth. But that’s just my opinion. The story was still great nonetheless!
Overall, this was a really enjoyable film! It was far better than I expected it to be and I look forward to seeing more from Kirby Atkins! His passion project of 20 years is an amazing piece to watch.
If you get the chance to view this film, I would recommend it!
