The previous 2 John Wick films were great in my opinion so I had high expectations for this one and once again it delivers on every level. The action in this film is once again great and exciting. There is never a dull moment in the film because it doesn’t give you a chance to breathe and that’s what kept me entertained. Keanu Reeves once again delivered some of his best work as Mr. Wick and is returning as the action star we all love. The film picks up immediately where the second film left off with him being excommunicado and now on the run with everyone against him now. Once again the stunts and the fight coordinations are off the charts here and the choreography of these fight scenes always manage to impress me. The stunt performers are masterful here and it shows during the film. The continental crew is back and I have to say that I can’t wait for The Continental TV Series that will be coming because I love the setting of the continental and I just find the story so fascinating about this place so I would love to know more. Halle Barry is in this film as well as a former friend of John and even though Barry isn’t in the film for as much as I would’ve liked, I thought she was fantastic as well in her performance. I wish she had more screen time but for what I saw she was great in the role. I still think that every action sequence is fantastic and will keep you on the edge of your seat. Yes once again the film is not “logical” but if you’ve seen the other films, you should know that by now and know that this isn’t exactly a “realistic” film so just suspend logic again and you should be fine. Aside from that I really don’t have many other complaints other than the story could’ve been a little better but I wasn’t really here for the story, I was here to see John Wick annihilate more bad guys and that’s what I got so I’m happy.
Conclusion: This series still has a great track record because this is another great entry in the series. I just hope they can keep it up when chapter 4 comes out because I will not be happy if the next one is bad. If you love the first two John Wick movies then you’ll definitely like this one.
