Maxwell Alexander’s review published on Letterboxd:
So strange that this won the Palme d'Or because this feels like something Cannes would not go for. This doesn't feel as unfocused as "Lost Highway" but definetly not strong Lynch. I still thought it was really good. It mostly succeeds because the cast is too good to pass up. For all it's flaws David Lynch still is one Hell of a director. He is so attached to music I want to see him do a straight up musical.
