It's fine. Literally a carbon copy remake of the original with little soul, barely enough good acting and a halfway decent story to get us through. The best part about this movie are the visuals, Joseph Kosinski really does a great job with those. But despite them trying, the up and coming younger actors are constantly one-upped by the stunts, and the film's sole adherence to its predecessor makes it come off as yet another carbon copy rather than something actual worthwhile. Just something else to waste time and get distracted by. Looking forward to Mission Impossible though.

Alex Garland continues to be one of my favorite working filmmakers today. Everything that he makes is experimental, daring and the absolute best aesthetically, he truly has earned his place in the new film brats hall of fame that I'm building. That being said, I still don't know if this entirely works. Its pace meanders and then picks up suddenly, it wears its message too much on the nose but then returns to being a home invasion/body horror piece. It…
