Movies “Mofa” Fan123’s review published on Letterboxd:
Stop Making Sense is an amazing concert film that is just a lot of fun. I don’t feel fully comfortable giving this a rating. If I did it would be probably be a 4.5. I mean it’s a film but I don’t know. I might give it a rating later but I loved it. The songs were amazing. It’s just so entertaining. David Byrne is a really talented dude. This my first time listening to anything from The Talking Heads and I must say that I think I’ll be listening to their songs a lot. A nice short runtime. Just a lot of fun from beginning to end. The lyrics of the songs were great and they just sounded phenomenal. I mean in a way it has a story. That story is just told through music. Still not giving it a rating though. It’s honestly very conflicting. I kind of want to give it a rating but I also don’t want to at the same time. I know many have rated this film but at least right now, I don’t think I want to. Again it would probably be a 4.5. I could definitely see my self rewatching this. I’m really glad I’ve seen it. It’s not something I’d normally watch but it has amazing reviews so I thankfully gave it a watch. The cinematography and visuals were also really nice. Overall Stop Making Sense is a phenomenal film with such an amazing soundtrack.
