The House of the Laughing Windows ★★★½

This Giallo is a bit of a slog because it feels longer than it needs to be, but the ending packs a punch that makes the wait worthwhile.

This is about an art restorer who is hired to fix a mural in a small town's church. The mural was originally made by an artist with a penchant for painting dying people, and he went missing years prior. Creepy phone calls warn the protagonist off of continuing work on the painting. He soon meets and falls for a young school teacher and they work together to try to figure out what's going on.

Good pairings for this would be DON'T LOOK NOW and SPIDER LABYRINTH.
