Max Oxley’s review published on Letterboxd:
I know everyone's mad about Annette Bening not getting an Oscar nom (and rightly so) but where the shit does Nicole Kidman get off getting a nomination over Greta Gerwig. Sure, they both dyed their hair red, but Greta's actually looks good!
All these characters are so nuanced and lived in, but the atmosphere is foreign and dreamlike. It's a lovely juxtaposition and just a lovely film, really. A huh-YUGE step up from Beginners. That dinner table scene is *chef kissing fingers* Mwah! Bellissima!
