Suspiria

Suspiria ★★★★★

Six Acts and an Epilogue

Luca Guadagnino takes everything that does and doesn't work about the original and makes something unique, compelling, intriguing, inspiring, unsettling and ultimately brilliant. He elevates a simple story into something complex and darker. He uses every single character for the film's advantage and doesn't waste any of its 152 minute runtime.

Stunning cinematography, an unforgettable score, a fascinating use of it's long runtime, incredibly committed performances from Tilda Swinton and Dakota Johnson and an impressive, impeccable, haunting third act makes Suspiria one of my favorite horror films of all time.
