I'm into the occult/sci-fi blend attempted here and to be certain In the Earth reminds me of things I like. Still, something about the narrative and the pacing doesn't quite cohere for me. I can't blame Wheatley for leaning on aesthetics to do the heavy lifting but the lore could have used something more substantial than "we happen to have a 1640 edition of malleus maleficarum and it is spooky"
Not a terrible Sunday watch and I did enjoy the fungal delirium sequences.
