The Flat

The Flat ★★½

This is my grand-mother Gerda...
-Arnon Goldfinger

I feel bad saying anything bad about this film because Arnon Goldfinger seems like a genuinely wonderful human being but this was an incredibly fascinating story stuck in a poorly constructed documentary.

It all starts when Goldman's family starts cleaning out the flat of his deceased grand-mother and curiously find Nazi propaganda among her belongings and considering their Jewish upbringing and that they left Nazi Germany 70 years prior they find this a bit puzzling.

Some amazing discoveries run through the film, some even involving another family unfortunately being confronted by an ugly truth.
