Dial M for Murder is a straightforward murder thriller that demonstrates that you can present a simple story if your execution is excellent. There's no earth shattering twists and mystery doesn't feature much. The audience is aware of the details of the murder plot from the outset, and so we're treated to some great suspense as the characters start to piece it together as the killer improvises to cover his tracks. Nothing fancy, but it's really really well done.
