What could’ve been an absolute mess of IP craziness is instead one of the most clever and hysterical capers of its kind in a while. This is mainly due to just how self-aware this film really is. While there is an endless barrage of references all of them are done in such a sharp manner that I honestly found myself just getting excited whenever the next one appeared to see what they would be poking fun at. I honestly am…

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

    ★★★½

Pushing the MCU to new heights and going in some spectacularly haunting directions mostly due to the wonderful Sam Raimi, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is not in any way the film you are expecting and it’s every bit as better because of it. It starts off as typical MCU fare and then quickly becomes a full on horror film complete with blood gore, jump scares and creepy imagery throughout, and as I said it’s all thanks to…

Basically just an overlong Disney Channel-esque movie and nothing more. But still, a better Cinderella adaptation than that needle drop headache-inducing shit that came out a few months ago that we don't speak of (despite doing so now!)

One of the biggest strengths (or perhaps the biggest) is the truly masterful work of Oscar Isaac who gives the performance of a lifetime here. The task of…

Regardless of how little I’ll remember this film overall, the significance of why I watched it is something that will always stick with me and I feel is far more important overall. For this reason alone I’m choosing to do something I normally don’t and leave this film without a rating. We all lost one of the most passionate and genuine users in this community. Eli had a real future as a filmmaker and it’s incredibly tragic that he’s no longer with us. We’ll all miss him dearly. R.I.P indeed
