Mister Gaga (House of Mr. Gaga)’s review published on Letterboxd:
SOOOO....I'm starting off the year with my first ever favorite film. I don't know if y'all know but this is my 2nd favorite film of all time and I just love it so much. Sometimes, one just wants to have fun! This is a movie that can put anybody in a good mood, thanks to the sunny location and cheerful hit songs. Not much of a plot, but I honestly don't care. This is a musical of sheer genius, its full of joy and lifts my spirit when I always watch it. The actors are showing their creative art! This was the film that got me to love Christine Baranski and hot take, no matter how stacked the category was, I thought she should've been nominated for Best Supporting Actress. Meryl, Amanda, Colin, Bill, and Julie were all OH-AMAZING and just fun to watch to. Meryl and Amanda, as well as Baranski, are great singers. Now, I thought this film had exquisite camera and editing. The songs, ahhh I'm a big ABBA fan so of course I danced and jived along with the songs in this film. My favorites are Dancing Queen, Super Trouper, Mamma Mia, Chiquitita, The Winner Take it All, and Honey Honey. The DANCING QUEEN musical performance is always a delight to watch and would brighten up my day.
Overall,...need I say more?!! Ok sure! Mamma Mia is a film i've seen a million times and I'm still not tired of it. I can sing along with the movie and I always have a great time watching it!
