The great American fairy tale. A battle of the perverse and the pure of heart fought on the wild frontier. Expands upon the themes of Blue Velvet in such a beautiful way. Its a world where evil men take what they want without a second thought and the rest of us are left to deal with the consequences. A great observation on the American outlaw myth, and what separates the criminals we root for and those we don't. I would follow Lula and Sailor to the ends of the earth.
