The Last Jedi is the most Star Wars-y that a Star Wars Film has been since Return of the Jedi. Finally, we see risks being taken, surprises being made, and a genre being defined. Things that we haven’t seen for 40 years.
This was a mixed bag however, particular sections were at best mediocre, and at worst, Attack of the Clones. Though whenever the film angles its focus on to the brilliant relationship and development of the Rey and Kylo Ren characters, it becomes at its worst, Vader Corridor Scene, and at its best, I am your Father.
