"Tu ve! Es que son uno campesino" - Aida Margarita Frometa Marcos aka My Mom

Man! Talking about a film that hits the perfect timing and like a lighting in a bottle, once it misses, it fails very hard - but when it hits you, it strike gold.

Many people call "Step Brothers," "Talladega Nights" and "Anchorman" some of the best, top notch movies of the Ferrell. But here is the thing, hot take everyone, only the latter I personally found funny or interesting. The others haven't really interest me that much nor made me laugh. By the end of the day, I am more of a "Elf," "Other Guys" and "Old School" kinda guy. I even enjoy "Blades of Glory." So right of the get-go, its clear low common denominator Ferrell is my jam. And sure, while he wasn't all hysterical and many of the jokes didn't land, man was still a charm. And while he's far from being a great singer, dude def knows how to blend in.

The Eternal Regina George, aka Rachel McAdams, went in and pour his heart and soul into this movie. Aside from the fact that she didn't sing the songs (all props goes to My Marianne), she acted the hell out on this film. She shouldn't, but thats much a PRO she is.

Matthew Crawley... I mean, Dan Stevens, was also a complete delight. I love the way how they built their character, keeping you on the edge of expectation on whether he was a villain or not. Plus not sure if that was his real singer, but momma like it A LOT. He was also very fun.

The rest of the small cameo appereances, especially Graham Norton, were splendid. The whole medley at the mansion was a bit off and super weird tho.

But the most important thing about this movie lies in the title. This is a 2hrs advertising for the Eurovision competition, and as such, you know what? Before seeing this, I could care less about it, and after watching I went into a rampage of binging past performances. So they sold me out. The music here was very, very good. "Husavik" still gives me goosebumps.

All in all, look, as a comedy this isn't like the most laugh out loud time you will have. Again, Ferrell is somewhat working on autopilot. But just like those talent shows and singing competitions, there's an audience for them and I'm on top of that list.
