Matthew Roth’s review published on Letterboxd:
Well Holy Frijoles! This is how you do a sequel to Puss in Boots. I didn’t expect it to be this good but damn I had a great time. It had nice into the spider verse style animation, laugh out loud humor, a great story about trying not to run away from fear, and some genuinely heartwarming scenes. I’m also amazed that this is the directors second feature after The Croods 2 because he really uped his game especially with the action sequences. So pray for mercy because Puss In Boots The Last Wish is probably one of Dreamworks Animations since a while.
