Another glance at Lynch's Wild at Heart produced a bit more to like. Cage is Cage (Dern is awful) and the vicious Lynch gene is still alive throughout. Still, there seems to be very little accomplished or at stake in this mean, fairytale-like vehicle. It's not near as easy to warm up to as many of his other projects. Violent, vindictive and lots to look at but I wish there was more to it than what I found, even on this second viewing.
"One of these days the sun's gonna come up and burn a hole clean through the planet like a giant electrical x-ray". Gotta love the total madness though!
