    Before Midnight

Never had I been so enveloped in conversations between two characters in a film before. Or frankly a whole trilogy.

Following Jesse and Celine from their young and thriving 20s all the way to their tired and complicated 40s, has been one hell of a journey. Seeing how their views of the world and love and its purpose to them evolve throughout time.

Richard Linklater, Ethan Hawke, and Julie Delpy have truly created a piece of true romantic beauty that…

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

I just finished watching a fan edit of this film known as Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker ASCENDANT. While the core story of the film is unchangeable, this version of the film, made by tons of fans, re-edits the film with addition VFX shots, re-arranges scenes, and even adds lines, but done in a high quality fashion.

Many aspects of the film don't seem so uncanny now, like the pacing, the heavy blue color grade over everything and less…

    Terminator: Dark Fate

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

I will say that while I find some of the concepts present in every Terminator film since T2 are intriguing, none of them ever really hit the mark as those first two.

    Under the Skin

An alien learning human kindness while also killing them. Some of the best moments of the film come from the unknown/scary atmosphere of scenes. Until it reaches an ending that only begins to make you question what the film is really about.

This film at least requires 2 or 3 viewings.
I don't think I've ever seen a film that has scared, amazed, and intrigued me this much after watching, since 2001: A Space Odyssey.

    Blade Runner 2049

Blade Runner 2049. Directed by Denis Villeneuve (Prisoners, Sicario, Enemy, Arrival), follows the story of a new blade runner, Officer K, as he unearths a secret that sends him on a journey to find Deckard, the old blade runner from the original film. I don’t want to bring up more of the plot because the plot is literally a spoiler and this film is best experienced when not knowing anything else at all.

Going in I had HUGE expectations. The…
