James Whale goes all out and packs in as much as he can in just 75 minutes. Epic yet intimate, terrifying yet hilarious but it’s major all around. One of the best pictures ever made, and that’s fact until the heat death of the universe.
Elsa Lanchester really was enchanting then. Her entrance as Bride is unforgettable. Movies aren’t simply like this anymore. Magical.
