Like McKay’s The Big Short this throws out so many movie “rules” it feels fresh and quick, like an enthusiastic personal tour by the director. And Bale is amazing.
A great conclusion to a surprise trilogy. It plays its story well despite being too bright and colourful for a film about shadowy characters.
