This film was just immense, I can’t believe I waited this long to see it and if you haven’t already go watch it now. So many scenes in this are so thrilling and tense, it’s a masterpiece in creating atmosphere and gripping the viewer. Partly because of the great direction and pacing but also THAT performance from Bardem, I found out after that he sweeeped every award for this and it was so deserved.

I don’t think I could ever finish watching this film without an overwhelming feeling of awe. The runtime of this film feels tiny in comparison to the scale of everything else presented, from Zimmer’s soundtrack, to the Human Race’s survival instinct, and of course Nolan’s 5th dimension. Dealing with such large themes as Love, exploration, extinction and AI all in one film could very easily fail miserably, yet in Interstellar? It works magnificently. A modern masterpiece.

There’s a whole sequence of events in an airport which I thought was very good, everything else is pretty much standard and forgettable.

First Christmas film of the year and Kurt Russel as Santa is a pretty god way to begin.

This is the Super-Hero film that deserves an Oscar. The best animation aesthetic I’ve ever seen, it’s gorgeous whilst having an authentic comic book style, as well as integrating other styles for different characters. I want all the sequels and spin offs, just not for that annoying anime girl.

It’s great to see this concept used correctly and not just as a gimmick, so much detail and story telling is presented by the director through the websites and apps we use everyday. There’s a great central performance and good tension building, and it shows a lot of heart with the family theme, especially in its opening sequence which was reminiscent of one from Up.
