Ben Mulvihillβs review published on Letterboxd:
Nope, not for me. Iβm not a snobby Star Wars fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I have turned my nose up at this. However, to say itβs bad would be an injustice, the characters are interesting and have a great cast behind them, some set pieces are brilliant, and the directing overall is good from Ron Howard considering when he joined the project.
I found the first ten minutes terrible, I had a bad feeling about it πππat that stage but it slowly improved and became good at times. Alden is getting a lot of praise for his portrayal of the iconic character, and I would say he done a good job but that doesnβt change the fact that heβs not Harrison Ford, and for me it just doesnβt feel right(personal nitpick).
I loved the cameo at the end of the film and really think they should go somewhere with that, Lando and Obi-Wan films arenβt as appealing to me as that could be.
