Greta Gerwig understands the life and relationships of a teenager a lot more than most directors seem to. I related to Lady Bird more than I have any other movie in recent memory. It's so authentic and genuine. It also features a great screenplay that mixes comedy and drama very well and a terrific leading performance from Saoirse Ronan.
