The Yakuza 1974
Started off rocky for me with the slow burning exposition which feels a lot like an Intro to Bushido for American Crime Film-Goers but the second half really brings it in. I love the relationship between Kilmer and Ken and the whole movie looks incredible.

I'm Thinking of Ending Things 2020
netflixfilm tweeted shitty knockoff posters of A Woman Under the Influence for this film and despite my abhorrence my curiosity got the best of me. i shut it off shortly after the Cassavetes bit. the whole thing felt like an ai generated sad post with pretentious intellectualism stuffed in. insufferable.

Tenet 2020
One dimensional characters and a convoluted plot built around a single gimmick that barely holds it's logic together. I won't pretend like I understood everything but by the end I lost interest. Despite it's complexity a lot of it felt pretty obvious and convenient, which is completely okay for an action movie that's fun and over top, but this was pretty self serious and soulless.
